The School of Nursing at Thomas Edison State College requires background checks of its graduate students prior to their first scheduled practicum (NUR-720 or NUR-730).  Failure to submit a background check by the requested due date may cause you to be ineligible for the practicum.

The background check report will be completed by Verified Credentials, Inc.  Please follow the instructions as directed on the Verified Credentials, Inc. website.  You will be required to provide identifying information as well as a payment source.  You will be directed through the website and results will be returned to you as well as Thomas Edison State College School of Nursing.  It is important that your background check be completed to meet the deadline as specified in the practicum packet.

It is essential that Thomas Edison State College School of Nursing be able to document this background check for you when requested by academic institutions, hospitals, clinics, and other sites selected for the required practicums.
