The Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota and The University of South Dakota School of Health Sciences requires that you demonstrate Criminal Background Clearance prior to matriculation into any of the programs of The University of South Dakota School of Medicine.  Failure to provide certified clearance will delay the matriculation process.

Clearance must be completed and certified by Verified Credentials, Inc.  Please follow the instructions as directed on the Verified Credentials, Inc web site listed below.  You will be required to provide identifying information as well as a payment source.  You will be directed through the application process and results will be certified and returned to you as well as School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  It is important that you submit information in a timely fashion in order to insure matriculation.

It is essential that the School of Medicine and Health Sciences be able to document this clearance for you when requested by hospitals, clinics, and other non-USD training sites.
