Dear Student:

This letter is to inform you of a new requirement for Nursing Students. Prior to starting your clinical rotation at our contracted hospitals or healthcare facilities you will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation.

The purpose of the requirement is to help protect the public. It will also assure Nursing Students that they meet the minimum background screening requirements for employment prior to devoting their time and money  to securing a degree.  Healthcare facilities today are becoming very cautious in terms of their hiring practices not only to protect their patients, but also to protect the hospital.  It is also important for you to be aware that many states require this background check before a candidate is allowed to take the National Nurse Licensure Exam or NCLEX-RN.
