Dear Student:

Clinical rotations are an essential element in the podiatric medical program at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.  Students who cannot participate in clinical rotations due to criminal or other adverse activities that are revealed in a background check are unable to fulfill educational requirements.  Additionally, many healthcare licensing agencies require individuals to pass a criminal background check as a condition of licensure or employment.  Therefore, it is in everyone's interest to resolve these issues prior to a commitment of resources by the College and the student or applicant.

Clearance must be completed and certified by Verified Credentials, Inc.  Please follow the instructions as directed on the Verified Credentials, Inc web site listed below.   You will be required to provide identifying information as well as a payment source.  You will be directed through the application process and results will be certified and returned to you as well as the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.  It is important that you submit information in a timely fashion.

It is essential that the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine be able to document this clearance for you when requested by hospitals, clinics, and other non-OCPM training sites.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this request.

Sincerely,
