Miles Community College Nursing is required by hospitals, clinics, and other sites utilized for clinical nursing experiences to document the completion of student background checks. Thus, Miles Community College Nursing requires annual background checks for all new and currently admitted nursing students.   

The annual background check must be completed by Verified Credentials, Inc.  Please follow the instructions as directed on this Verified Credentials, Inc. website.  You will be required to provide identifying information as well as a payment source for the $65.00 fee ($40.00 for 2^nd year update).  Upon completion of the background check process, the results will be returned to you as well as to the Miles Community College Nursing Program Director.  The deadline for submission is July 15^th of each year.

Failure to submit a background check will suspend the student from enrollment in any and all clinical nursing courses and from admission to the nursing program.  The background check policy in its entirety is located on the nursing website or available upon request form the nursing office.
