Dear Student:

This letter is to inform you of a new requirement for Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions Students. Prior to starting your clinical rotation at our contracted hospitals or healthcare facilities you will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation.  

The purpose of the requirement is to help protect the public. It will also assure Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions Students that they meet the minimum background screening requirements for employment, certification and/or licensure prior to devoting time and money  to securing a degree.  

On the very next page you will see a "Notice" about an additional check that is the responsibility of the student and is not completed by Verified Credentials.  Students from Jefferson College of Health Professions need to download ONLY the Pennsylvania Dept of Public Welfare Child Abuse Clearance form.  Once completed, students need to complete the form and send it to the designated state agency with the appropriate fee.

Students from Jefferson Medical College need to download ONLY the Delaware Dept of Public Welfare Child Abuse Clearance form.  Once completed, students need to complete the form and send it to the designated state agency with the appropriate fee.
